Are You Missing God?

Have you ever felt like something is missing in your life? That despite everything you have, there’s still a void that can’t quite be filled? Have you been pursuing material success to no avail and you're left feeling frustrated and more confused?

It’s a feeling I know all too well, and I believe it’s something that many of us experience at some point in our journey.

In chapter 17 of my book, Mistaken Identity, I explore a powerful experience that changed my life: Meeting God.Now, before you hesitate or get uncomfortable, let me clarify. This isn’t about religion or dogma.

It’s about connection. It’s about understanding the presence of something greater than ourselves—and what happens when we open ourselves up to that possibility.I used to be uncomfortable with the idea of God. I didn’t know Him. I wasn’t spiritual—I was ignorant. But then something happened that changed everything. It started with a meditation, something I never thought would lead me to meet God in a way that felt so real, so vivid, so life-altering. In that moment, I heard a message that changed my life: “Doug, I’m going to hand you the keys to change the world with your voice and your words.

Immediately I thought, who the hell am I to think that or believe it?

It wasn’t until much later that I fully embraced what had happened. The peace and the release I felt from discovering that God wasn’t something “out there,” but was in me and with me, was profound. This experience gave me the courage to speak my truth, and I’ve since realized that this connection to God is what was missing all along.

Who am I to think that my own logic could outperform or outdo my creator? You don’t have to believe what I believe. But if you’ve ever felt that something is missing in your life, this chapter might help you discover what it is—and how opening your heart to a higher presence can be the key to unlocking greater peace, growth, and understanding.Take a moment to reflect on your own journey—whether you’ve felt a similar void or are simply curious about how your life could shift with a new perspective. I truly believe this could make all the difference."Whoever loves to meet God, God loves to meet him." — Muhammad, founder of IslamIf you'd like to meet God, meet me on my next live class and I can introduce you. 😉

Remember, there is no point in setting big goals and pursuing dreams if you don't have the self-image and the self-confidence to back it up.

Blessings
